The campaign aims to raise awareness among young people about the need to eat fruits and vegetables daily.
Guardamar del Segura hosts the 15th and December 16th a pioneering project in the Vega Baja to spread vegetable consumption among young people as a healthy habit that must be completed with a higher consumption of fruits. Under the name "Broccoli Passion" and thanks to the collaboration of a local company, AgroPaco, this traditional vegetables will be distributed among students of public schools in the municipality.
During these two days will be distributed about a ton of broccoli, freshly harvested and it is intended to "foster a healthy lifestyle and prevent obesity," explained Francisco Mora and Angels LLuc who are behind this project, remember that it is "a vegetable with exceptional nutritional properties and helps prevent some diseases." The event will be completed with an educational talk, reading a story and the projection of an animated video.
